Veteran's Day + Thankful Tree

One of my favorite things about living in Anthem...and this year the weather was PERFECT!  Loved getting together with friends for this, even though we were missing a few of our favorite regulars...
Let's be cancelling those sporting events next year, eh?!
The kids got candy, coins, a balloon and lots of high-5s.
Our favorite float of the entire parade!
And it was actually so cold that Georgia kept Luke warm:)  So Sweet!
 Hey Jer!

And Bree and Sierra walked with the AP float.
So thankful for our Veterans and that we get a day to let all that they've done for us soak in a bit.

Then we made our annual Thankful Tree...
Somehow donkey's made the list this year.
So thankful for this time of year and this family of mine!

Halloween 2012

Percy Jackson, Cleopatra, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Black Cat and Jer all headed over to the annual Fischer/Brannum Halloween get together.
And let me just say, those Fischers and Brannums know how to do Halloween!

After a tasty dinner, these kids were ready to roll!
And Halloween would not be complete without some Jamie tricks....I think Sarah was on to you....
And Angie should have been onto you seeing how this was the 2nd time around for her.
We'd like to thank Bailee our accomplice for chanting "Scary house, scary house" so Jamie would know just when to pounce.
Trick or Treating - not just for the kids...
 But we wore 'em out!
Then they came back and were glued to an outdoor showing of ET.
Such a great idea!
Loved the firepit talks, neighborhood walks, and the cat calls and dancin in the street.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Pre-Halloween Fest

We are sooo ready!!!

Project Week....Castle vs Poster

And the castle won out at the final hour.
Boy, if the walls of this castle could talk!
Jake you wanted it and you did it, so proud of you!
I love you Jakers!!!

Fall Ball

Is in full swing!  And Luke is loving....the snacks.
I am loving dugout duty and getting Jamie in trouble.
Weird that the coach would want his son to bat.

Luke you are the cutest little kid in that uniform you rock!!!

Fall in San Diego

...was a little gloomy because grandma and grandpa weren't there!  They were out seeing the world, but were nice enough to let us stay at their place.   So we did some serious walking and had just about the best time on earth!

We took the ferry to Coronado Island.  That's the Midway in the background and just behind it, the tallest rectangular building is where we stayed!
The weather was crazy...pouring one minute, beautifully sunny the next.
We got a free suri ride out of it and yes Jer I did pedal!

Then we met Nat and her fam at the Mormon Batallion...never gets old I tell you!

The next day we found the house I lived in from the time I was 7 til I was 10 years old.  I actually found it without a map or gps or anything...just from my memory which is crazy.  I was so excited to show the kids where we planted our watermelon garden, the corner we stood on to sell avocados (8 for $1), the huge driveway we had to sweep eucalyptus leaves off every week and so much more....
But they were bored.
Tortured.
WHO CARES? they said!
But for me it was so good to see this little house that brought back floods of happy memories!
Thanks Jer for indulging me and for giving a care (or at least pretending!).
Oh the donut corner.  There are no words....
And then the main event.... meeting my newest niece, Colette!  Ohhhh she is simply scrumptious!

There's proud little mama Mindi, Luke and Sawyer in the kid cave.
Love this trip so much and love my little family!
