Carvin the Night Away

When Luke's pumpkin would not carve like he wanted it to, Bree took one for the team.
She is the ultimate big sis.

 ooooohhhh!
What cannot be overstated is the loveliness of carving pumpkins
and then going barefooted outside to light them on the front porch.
Life is good.

Hoedown!

That's where these 3 are headed, can't even wait!
Amber made her girls and Breezy these costumes!
So cute!!

Sponge toss...might have been the coolest booth there!
 Jake's takin aim at...
 The one and only, Peter.
You shoulda heard the trash they were talkin:)

 Edible.
Mary Poppins...my fave costume of the night!
This handy man needed no assistance at the fishing pond.
Best part of the night for me....the hoedown!
Even got Jer out there for a split second or two.
This party rocked!

Talk about CrEAtiVe!

 Yeah, not us.
But these fellow partiers....man!  I loved all the cool costumes!  How can I tap into their creativity???
And these two little cutie pies hijacked my camera.
I think they are keepers.
The food was delish, the company exquisite and the games were, well, catered towards those who brought them.  Todd smoked us all.
Things I learned this night: No skid secret is safe with Jer, bug +orange=beetle juice, heaps do know dents, and Ashley just might have the most adorably decorated house in the universe.
That girl not only throws a mean party, she is creative like no other!
Happy Halloween!!

Scariest thing ever.

My camera might have gotten hijacked by someone else that night.
And later...
Me to Breanna: "Hey, come look at this picture.  Do you know who that is?"
Breanna: "No...I've never seen her before in my life."
I still CANNOT stop laughing.

One True Love

I recently got a job at as a preschool teacher and the owner of the preschool, Rose, has a daughter that used to be in Jake's 2nd grade class.  In fact, they pretty much have been in the same class or school since we moved here.
So Jake and this girl kind of share the same past.
And yesterday Rose texted me this treasure:
I

I remember Jake having a crush on Jaid, but I had no idea 2nd grade got this serious.
And my shy little Jake giving a girl his phone number?
SHOCKER!
When he got home from school I showed him these pics and he got this huge smile on his face and said,
"I have no idea who wrote that.  I've never seen it before in my life!"
We laughed all afternoon about it. It totally made our day.
He actually thought it was pretty cool that they kept it all these years.

And he is really relieved that Jaid goes to a different school now.
No need to have these kinds of documents floating around the 7th grade class.
(I did get the author's permission before posting this, I promise:)

Yeah, he was quite the ladies man back then.
I think he is gonna make one romantic hubby one of these days!
Have I mentioned I love him?
