Hoops and Quarters

Jer told the kids they could have a quarter for every consecutive shot they made...

 oooh one-handed...
Jake getting angry at me taking pictures....heehee.
The knockout.
It ended up being a long, expensive fun night for these guys:).
It was a little chilly for me but
I do LOVE AZ IN FEBRUARY!!!

Friends Over

My kids are so lucky to have the nicest friends!!
(missed those Vallery girls on vacation!)
I honestly love all of them and am so glad when they get to come and hang out and bake cookies...
 or play video games...
or play more video games after they have taken out every single game in order to decide which one they want to play.
Nothing better than having friends over!

Valentine's Day 2013

Spent the afternoon making Valentines with Luke and his classmates.
Ms. Gade is the best teacher on the planet!
Here is Jackson's coolest robot valentine's box.  Next year I'm gonna have Aubrey make Lukes:)!
Luke and a few of his buddies Jack Christian Preston and Jackson
 Delivering the goods....

After the party, we had soccer games that went in to OT, and Jer had a wedding to go to, so we didn't have a fancy Vday dinner.  But we were met with some fabulous Valentine Fairies who delivered us the most delicious treats we could have dreamed of!  Thank you!!!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
XOXOXOXOXO

First Dance

Gorgeous girl and gorgeous hair by Ms. Jamie!

These girls spent hours of class time learning formal dances to prepare for this big night.
(Actually Bree had strep for the majority of the time they were teaching dance, so she had to wing it!).
They were so excited to be with their friends.
They had a great time.
Bree gave it a 6 out of 10 and Sierra gave it a whopping 9 out of 10!

Bree's New Smile

Bree added a little bling to her smile...

She has been an absolute champ about the pain that braces can be.
And her brushing skills have been taken to an entirely new level.
Bree you rock!
Only 2 years to go!!!

And Jer's 40th Celebration Continues...

So Jer calls me from work Thursday morning to tell me he's not feeling well.  He said he was so congested the only thing he wanted to do was to come home and go to bed.
Well...that put me in a tiny bind because what he didn't know was I had invited a few friends of his to swing by and surprise him at the door with Happy 40th Birthday wishes.  Then everyone was going to come in and celebrate.  Like I said, he didn't know this was all going to go down, so I told him to go take some Airborne and man up.  Turns out he was kind of on to my plan because that morning he went out to the garage freezer and found it full of party food.  And then when he came home Luke wouldn't stop talking about the bag of ice in the freezer.   So when he asked if something was up, I told him to go lay down and we started decorating like mad.  And minutes later, the doorbell started ringing.  Everyone came through with the most creative, fun birthday wishes.  From 40 sucks, to birthday waves to Spanish Happy Birthdays (or Merry Christmases, depends on how fluent you are), to 40 rocks, to 40 packs of gum, to awful Aggie cups full of 40 (or so) kisses, to candy bar poems, to 40 years of holiday candy in a bag, to yukelee birthday serenades, to gift cards, treats and sweet notes, it was all so thoughtful and generous and kind.  Jer was floored.
He didn't like being the center of attention while we sang Happy Bday:)

Wish I would have gotten more pics of all of the friends that came out.  Everyone was honestly spectacular!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JER!!
I'm the luckiest girl in the world to be married to you!!
And now we get to be old together:)
 I LOVE YOU!!

New Year's Eve 2012

We rang in the New Year with the Adelmans.  Cristina cooked the most amazing dinner...Columbian tamales that were out of this world.  Then we settled in to back to back Settlers games and Troy and I dominated the night.  The kids played hard and the night flew by.  Before we knew it, it was time to get ready...

Beans in our pockets for good luck and 12 grapes eaten at midnight, making a wish with each one we ate.
Thank you Adelmans! It as a fabulous night!!!
Topped off with fireworks and firecrackers.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

New Year's Eve Ice Skating!

It was a first for Luke and he did awesome!
Jake and Breanna hadn't been ice skating for a super long time and they took to the ice like pros.

And once we got a hold of one of these, we could not keep up with Luke.  He loved it.
We will definitely be making this a new tradition.
Next time we'll bring gloves, hats and coats brrrrrrrr!!!!

Jer's BIG 4-0!!!

We kicked it off by waking up at the condo in beautiful downtown San Diego.  The Holiday bowl parade went right by on the street below us and we had perfect seats to take it all in.
 Jer got his usual gifts:)

Then we left the kids with grandma and grandpa and headed to LA for 2 days.
Jer found his FAVORITE Mex spot in Manhattan beach.

Then we hit the Getty.  The place was packed.  We took the tram to the top.

Where we found gorgeous art and even more spectacular views of LA.

The place is a must see!
Then for the highlight of the trip....we hit the Staples center for a Laker game.

Jamal Wilkes number was retired and Kareem AbdulJabar was there.  There was not an empty seat in the place.  It was a blow-out game, but lots of fun to be there with the worlds most loyal fans.
Happy 40th Jer!!
Love you so much!!!
