5 years ago....

 a little piece of heaven touched down and life has been so sweet ever since!

 So we did a little celebrating today.

 Then we met Grandma and Aunt Erica (all the way from Georgia!) for a yummy birthday lunch!

 And then we did Luke's favorite thing in the world...swimming!

It was a bit chilly. We cranked that heater the whole way home:)

 And then our bday boy ended the day like this.
Grandma did not know her gift included a new bed.
(All you book clubbers, let's keep CPS out of this!) 
(And Ashley, I think our boys might be onto something:)

We absolutely lucked out with having this pool party land on the perfect day! 

The weather was incredible and we had the place to ourselves.  

So lucky to have so many wonderful friends to share the day with.

Can't believe Luke is turning 5.  

Oh how we love our Luke!!

40 BIG ONES!!!!

And let me just say, turning 40 ended up being one of my favorite things yet.

Here's why...

The kids and Jer got up early and decked the house out birthday style!

Then Breezy gave me the most amazing pillow.  Hand-stitched and made exclusively by her.  Can't believe how thoughtful and sweet this girl is.  I am the luckiest mom in the world!!

This pillow is perfect for roadies to Cali!

Then I went to work and was treated like the birthday girl all day (thanks Kim:).  

My sweet friend, Laura made the most delish lemon cupcakes!

And adorable Polly decorated my room and door so that everyone would know exactly what the day was about.  WOW!!!  She's so incredibly thoughtful!!!

Then I snuck away with these cute girls to chick fil a for a little birthday lunch.

So relaxing and fun!!!  

 I love these girls!

Then a yummy dinner with my favorite people of all...

Followed by the Lorax Movie.  

It got mixed reviews from these 4.

But my birthday didn't!

It was 100% fabulous!!

It was honestly the BEST birthday ever!!!

Jer's 40th Bday Surprise

 First off, I came home Saturday to find the sound of the vacuum (and me not behind it) which was music to my ears.  And though I'd left it a complete disaster, the house was sparkling.

WOW JER!!!

 Then I was swept off my feet and taken to our favorite Mex spot, Mattas.

We even got to eat upstairs on the little balcony area next to the Mariachis.  

Loved it!!!

 Then straight to the Gammage to see my all time favorite broadway show,WICKED!!!

Happy is what happens when you get the perfect pre-bday date night like tonight!

Jer you know how to win a girl over!

That was one smooth, well-thought out birthday surprise and I absolutely loved every second of it!

You are the best hubby a girl could ever dream of and I LOVE YOU!!!
