A Little Roadie

Oh wait, gotta back up here.
The trip started with the sweetest note and
bag full of personalized goodies from
the one and only Jamie!
We can't believe how thoughtful she is!!!
The licorice was the first thing gone
(and no ill side effects, believe it or not).
You were so missed and if you double book again,
you'll just have to bring your fam with us!

Riley getting the party started.
And after a slightly longer ride than anticipated
(let's not go pointing fingers now)
we FINALLY arrived!

On the way to Sammy's for dinner.
For Nikki and Riley, fashionable feet
were not to be compromised.
After all how far could 11 blocks really be?
Stopped at Horton Plaza after dinner for a little shopping.

Paigers with first purchase of the trip.

The signature pose.
Lovin those heels.
Except when it came time for the little race home.
We admittedly cut the corner and
left those two and their heels in the dust.
Try as they might, their heels were no match for our flats.
First lesson of this roadie....leave the fancy shoes home.

Back at the unit.
We were loving the Beach Boys Concert
coming from the Aircraft Carrier
and the fireworks that followed.
Pretty sweet first night!

On the ride out, I took a little heat
for wearing my favorite scrunchy.
For all you who mocked me,
I have some news for you.
My true friend Sarah landed on grundles of 'em at Forever 21.
Guess what girls?
Stock up cuz they're back.

Scrunchy Heaven

Then Paige's near miss with Purgatory
when she nearly got thrown
out of the place for taking these
pics which was strictly against store policy.

Had to stop off for manis and pedis.
Lovin them Spring colors
which were not matchy matchy,
but rather coordinated quite nicely.

We took the ferry to Coronodo Island
where we rented bikes and took the island by storm.

Dippin our toes in the icy Pacific.

Our next vaca spot is gonna be the Hotel Del.

Golden laced sand on our feeties!

The beautiful ride back to the ferry.
Looking like a scene from the Sound of Music to me.

Best seats on the boat.

But I think this guy liked his seat pretty good.
Paige and Riley were likin' it too.

The spot for girl talk.

Lots went down in the elevator.
I would like to thank this nice
man for taking our picture
and not stealing my camera
even after I accused him of attempting to.

Cute Erica met us for dinner.

Then Sarah showed us the art of eating
TWINKIES!!!

Monkeying around Seaport Village
looking for souveniers for the kids.

Most Memorable:
Nikki's calm driving until...
4 girls simultaneoulsy were yelling at me,
"You don't know the address???"
My reply: "I'm pretty sure it's one of these tall buildings."

Paigers reminding every guy that walked on the elevator with us,
"Must be your lucky day"

Jon and Riley's Text
(ruined that question for me forever)

Mall security coming down on us for our loud behavior.

2:30 am talks with Riley

Hot tubbing and "the unit."

Paige loving the moisture.

Me loving my new PJs.

Most Laughable:
Attack of the birds while on the bike
and nearly killing Sarah as I swerved to miss them.

Sarah and me back to back
running over the poor kid's frisbee
and the kid yelling at us,
"THANKS A LOT!"

Sarah"s surprise walking out of the bathroom.
My pedestrian skills.

And most of all my impecable knack of knowing
exactly where I am and how to get to where I'm going.
Loved every minute!

No Possible Way....

he could be 3.

But he is!
Ask him. He'll tell you he's 4.
Lunch with the gang.
(Doesn't Grady look so big here? And handsome I might add!)

Yummmers! Nothing like a birthday cone!
Unless of course you're the person was disappointed
in the fact that there were no cupcakes.

True friends who sacrificed a quality lunch to put a smile on Luke's face.

Peek - a- boo with cute Eric!

Luke's closing his eyes in hopes of getting a birthday kiss from Elle.

He had to settle for a seat next to her on the slide.

Luke, we can't even say how much we love you!
You are so easy going and sweet
and you make every day happy!

I BEYOND LOVE YOU!!!
Happy Birthday Big Guy!

Top Secret Secret Is Out!

Last Friday.

Sure enough, those two love birds snuck off and got hitched this weekend!
We were just a smidgen offended that they didn't invite us to come elope with them,
so we put some discreet decor on their door
(we know how much you wanted to keep this thing private and all).
We are SO EXCITED
and HAPPY
and ECSTATIC
for you two
and we LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!!!!
HOORAY!!!!

Happy Easter

I couldn't get any pictures of Jake and Bree...they were too fast.

This year the EB decided to hide the baskets too.
Didn't go over too well with Breezy who was the last to find hers.
She thought he had forgotten her.
Not funny.
I love it when Easter falls on Conference Weekend.
There's nothing I like to do more than stay in my jammies all day. Then we headed over to Jon and Rileys for some delish dinner
(Holly and Riley know how to cook!)
After dinner, we tortured Riley with a game of Acquire,
and we were entertained by boys (and Jenna) jumping off the roof to the trampoline.
Does not get more exciting than that!
Happy Easter!!!!

hee hee hee

Got this new outfit for Jer (hubba hubba).
He thinks he looks ummm, shall we say unmasculine, in it.
BTW, he's grinding wheat to bake
homemade bran muffins in this picture.
That's my masculine guy.

sneaky little us

With this being Jake's favorite holiday of the year and all, we decided to make it special.
Everyone played a critical role: The Mastermind.
The Monkey.

The Co-Conspirators.

And The Get-Away-Driver.
(Definitely didn't think this one through before making the assignment.)
We put the plan into action.
Pulled the 'ole switcheroo with a few wreaths and lawn chairs.
And Yes.
Bree's boots were key to the success of the operation.
There was of course one little glitch.
After taking the wreath from Nikki's door,
we went back to put on the replacement and mysteriously enough,
the hook was gone.
We thought we were caught for sure.
Turns out the hook was there, but we just couldn't see it because it was pitch black.
Seems some people don't like to leave the porch light on
for people who might be stopping by to play April Fools' tricks.

Well, we might not have gotten caught last night,
but those boogers were onto us bright and early this morning.
There was no fooling them.
So I quick made some cheesy bread
in hopes of staving off any sort of retaliation.....

Didn't work.
Just opened my door and
got soaked by water balloons from these three.
Jake came to the rescue with our giant umbrella,
(but when these girls aim, they don't miss)
I will say I'm thoroughly enjoying the
shake, fries and licorice they set out to lure me into their trap.
You girls can come sneakin around here anytime.
Until next year...
