No Possible Way....

he could be 3.

But he is!
Ask him. He'll tell you he's 4.
Lunch with the gang.
(Doesn't Grady look so big here? And handsome I might add!)

Yummmers! Nothing like a birthday cone!
Unless of course you're the person was disappointed
in the fact that there were no cupcakes.

True friends who sacrificed a quality lunch to put a smile on Luke's face.

Peek - a- boo with cute Eric!

Luke's closing his eyes in hopes of getting a birthday kiss from Elle.

He had to settle for a seat next to her on the slide.

Luke, we can't even say how much we love you!
You are so easy going and sweet
and you make every day happy!

I BEYOND LOVE YOU!!!
Happy Birthday Big Guy!

Top Secret Secret Is Out!

Last Friday.

Sure enough, those two love birds snuck off and got hitched this weekend!
We were just a smidgen offended that they didn't invite us to come elope with them,
so we put some discreet decor on their door
(we know how much you wanted to keep this thing private and all).
We are SO EXCITED
and HAPPY
and ECSTATIC
for you two
and we LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!!!!
HOORAY!!!!

Happy Easter

I couldn't get any pictures of Jake and Bree...they were too fast.

This year the EB decided to hide the baskets too.
Didn't go over too well with Breezy who was the last to find hers.
She thought he had forgotten her.
Not funny.
I love it when Easter falls on Conference Weekend.
There's nothing I like to do more than stay in my jammies all day. Then we headed over to Jon and Rileys for some delish dinner
(Holly and Riley know how to cook!)
After dinner, we tortured Riley with a game of Acquire,
and we were entertained by boys (and Jenna) jumping off the roof to the trampoline.
Does not get more exciting than that!
Happy Easter!!!!

hee hee hee

Got this new outfit for Jer (hubba hubba).
He thinks he looks ummm, shall we say unmasculine, in it.
BTW, he's grinding wheat to bake
homemade bran muffins in this picture.
That's my masculine guy.

sneaky little us

With this being Jake's favorite holiday of the year and all, we decided to make it special.
Everyone played a critical role: The Mastermind.
The Monkey.

The Co-Conspirators.

And The Get-Away-Driver.
(Definitely didn't think this one through before making the assignment.)
We put the plan into action.
Pulled the 'ole switcheroo with a few wreaths and lawn chairs.
And Yes.
Bree's boots were key to the success of the operation.
There was of course one little glitch.
After taking the wreath from Nikki's door,
we went back to put on the replacement and mysteriously enough,
the hook was gone.
We thought we were caught for sure.
Turns out the hook was there, but we just couldn't see it because it was pitch black.
Seems some people don't like to leave the porch light on
for people who might be stopping by to play April Fools' tricks.

Well, we might not have gotten caught last night,
but those boogers were onto us bright and early this morning.
There was no fooling them.
So I quick made some cheesy bread
in hopes of staving off any sort of retaliation.....

Didn't work.
Just opened my door and
got soaked by water balloons from these three.
Jake came to the rescue with our giant umbrella,
(but when these girls aim, they don't miss)
I will say I'm thoroughly enjoying the
shake, fries and licorice they set out to lure me into their trap.
You girls can come sneakin around here anytime.
Until next year...

ahhh the wonders of storytime....

The only thing better than holding on to it....

....is being under it.
(it gave Paige goosebumps)
And if this isn't enough to get you to come out to storytime,
there's always the tickles, Ms. Lynn's singing, and our shoulder strutt.

The Dress Jer Vowed to Burn

Any guesses which one it was?

Later, games. They all look so docile. I was kinda surprised the cops didn't bust through our door with all the noise this bunch was making. Jer kept apologizing because our house was so noisy. Let's be honest here. It definitely wasn't the house making the noise. Many favorites from this night...Curtis telling Heidi he can dress her up but can't take her anywhere. Bobbi and I taking care of "RS" business during the game. Watching Wyatt's head turn left then right then left again, as he tried to follow the crazy stories that were making everyone laugh. He finally gave up and decided to read the back of his diet coke bottle instead. My ears are still ringing from all the noise. That is one rowdy bunch of girls!

Least favorite: Losing by 1 point to team Magel and then by several hundred to Wyatt and Jer.

Toppin the Chart, Derby, Forts and Feet

Stole this idea from Kaley. Breanna got to the top of the chart by doing her chores before school for 20 days. As a result she got to pick any place she wanted to go with just her and mom and dad. She picked the movie Alice in Wonderland.
We both thought the movie was great and we had so much fun just being together.
Love this girl!
Dad had to miss it though because he was at home helping Jake with :

Jake's car did well and although it might not have been the fastest, Jake had excellent sportsmanship and had fun just being there.
This is his last Pinewood Derby, that boy is growing up on me!

Arent Sunday mornings the best?
(No need to ask me about how great Sunday Evenings are when we have to clean it up.)

Jake and Bree needed to be in the pic too.

Luke fell off the slide last week and hurt his foot.
Can you tell which one?
I think I should have taken him in because
he is still limping ever so slightly.

I never get these things right.

Either I take them to the Dr. and it's nothing,
or I don't take them and it ends up being broken.

Pretty sure I'm a horrible mom.
(It's his left foot, the one on your right)

We packed it in today

Started the day off with two hours of hiking up gorgeous Camelback Mtn. Breanna led us up the mountain and was so far ahead of us we rarely saw her. Trailblazer, that one. Jake on the other hand was pretty sure he wasn't going to be able to make it. We knew better. On the way down, Jake was the clear leader and we didn't see him at all until we got to the bottom. That's my Jake!
Luke hiking Stanley style.
We couldn't have done it without their cool backpack.
Luke loved it.
Our fellow hikers loved it
(wish I had a dime for every comment we got about it).
Jer was THE MAN to pack Luke over the steep, rocky terrain for 2 solid hours.

Luke snackin on oranges the way home.
Need to replenish the fluids after that exhausting hike.

Then we hit the ballpark.
Anyone know who's playing?
Sure wish someone would sell Jamie some skittles.
Put your order in next time, girls, I will no doubt deliver.
Jer knew who was playing, oh yes he did.

And just for the record Tony Gwinn is a Padre!
I know my team.
